Marcia Gay of Defiance, Jason Hespen of O’Fallon, and Rev. Devin Jones of Cappeln were all recent winners of gift baskets/bags filled with items donated by members of the New Melle Chamber of Commerce. In an effort to promote local commerce, the New Melle Chamber of Commerce distributed a flyer in March and April featuring coupons and special offers from 15 participating members.

'Best tourism secret' in St. Charles County attracts 100,000 annually

ST. CHARLES COUNTY, MO (April 11, 2012) --- The National Equestrian Center Lake Saint Louis was selected as March’s recipient of the Business Spotlight Award from the Economic Development Roundtable of St. Charles County for being a popular tourism destination annually attracting an estimated 100,000 visitors to regional and national equestrian and canine competitions and other special events.

Bob and Judy Gross have announced that they will open Rebecca’s Cafe and Desserts in Augusta in April. The new restaurant is located at 5501 Locust (at the corner of Locust and Lower Streets, across from Stone Ledge Antiques.) An Easter Breakfast will be served from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Sunday, April 8, by reservation only. Then the restaurant will be open on Fridays and Saturdays from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. for lunch, and 5 to 8:30 p.m. for dinner beginning Friday, April 13, 2012. Hours will be expanded this fall.

Frank Trupiano of New Melle received a special Christmas surprise on December 24th when he won the Holiday Gift Basket drawing sponsored by members of the New Melle Chamber of Commerce.

Susan and Ralph Zamora of Augusta Shores were the proud  winners of a  wonderful gift basket sponsored by the Greater August Chamber of Commerce. Presenting the gift basket marked the conclusion of the season-long Harvest Celebration in  the Augusta area which started with The Harvest Festival back in September.

A grand opening was held at the new American Kitchen and Backyard Design Studio, and The Conference Center at Oaks Crossing on Sunday, October 23, 2011 in Augusta, Missouri. Randal Oaks opened American Kitchen and Backyard Design 12 years ago in Augusta, and since then, he has earned a reputation for creating beautiful kitchens and imaginative outdoor spaces, including cabinetry, arbors, gardens and more.
