      August 09, 2022 New Melle Country Market is hosting the 2nd Annual New Melle Music Festival on September 10, from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Last year the Festival had over 1000 visitors, and a bigger crowd is expected this year. The music will play in two sessions from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. and then 2 to 6 p.m. and will feature Chris Lozano and the Coyote Band.

      St. Paul’s Lutheran in New Melle held the second annual St. Paul’s Kidz Carnival on July 16, it was a hot day; fortunately, there was shade, a breeze and a misting station to stay cool.
      The Kidz Carnival was free; the only request was for donations to St. Vincent de Paul Food Pantry.

Lonnie L. Dildine Jr., 55, of Moscow Mills, MO, passed away on Monday, Feb. 1, 2021 at his residence.

He was born on July 30, 1965 in St. Louis to Lonnie and Talei (Haynes) Dildine.  Lonnie grew up with his brother Todd and sister, Talena and attended Winfield High School. The three of them were always very close and enjoyed spending time together.  Following his formal schooling, he began working as a dump truck driver for Joerling Trucking in New Melle. Lonnie loved the open road and always had a big smile on his face. He never met a stranger and knew people from all over. Lonnie was a very loyal person and if he was your friend; he was always your friend.  He was blessed to have a daughter,  Kayelee who was the “apple of his eye”.  Lonnie loved his work and always liked to keep busy.  He and his girlfriend, Angela Dorrough, were classmates and have been together for many years.  They both loved their little  fur baby named Fancy.  Lonnie was a kind man who was always the life of the party..  He enjoyed waxing and washing his car and took great pride in its appearance.  Lonnie loved to play pool and hang out with friends whenever possible. He was a huge St. Louis Cardinal's fan, and loved to watch them play.  Lonnie lived to make others smile and his family was always first to him. He went out of his way to show people he genuinely cared and was concerned about them. He was a true friend. Lonnie will be remembered lovingly by all those who knew him.  

He is survived by his beloved parents; Lonnie and Talei Dildine; his daughter, Kayelee (Chance) Pepper; his two siblings: Todd Dildine and his son; Dillion Dildine and Talena (Mark) Krieg and their daughters: Meghan and Maddie Hubbard of Moscow Mills;  six grandchildren: Abel, Gabriel, Delaney, Emery, Eli, and Scarlet; his girlfriend, Angela Dorrough, aunts & uncles: Dan Dildine and his wife Chris, Stan Dildine and his wife, Marie, Velvet Dildine, Gina Dildine, Theresa and Arlin Blaylock, Norma Probst, and Terry and Sheila Haynes, many other relatives and friends.

Visitation scheduled Saturday, Feb. 6, 2021, from 10:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m.  at the McCoy-Blossom Funeral Homes & Crematory, 1304 Boone St., Troy, MO 63379 (636) 528-8244.

A funeral service scheduled on Saturday, Feb 6, 2021 at  1:00 p.m.  at the McCoy-Blossom Funeral Homes & Crematory, Troy location.  Officiating: his uncle, Pastor Terry Haynes. Pallbearers to be: Todd Dildine, Dillon Dildine, Gary Cannon, John Foster, Vince Harke, and Robert Moll.

Interment to follow in Troy City Cemetery, Troy. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, c/o the McCoy-Blossom Funeral Homes & Crematory, Troy.
