TROY, MO, August 8, 2022 – Four charitable organizations were each awarded a $5,000 “Sharing Success” grant by Cuivre River Electric Cooperative (CREC) and CoBank. The recipients of the 2022 grants are Anne’s Anchor, New Melle Sports & Recreation (NMSR), The Sparrow’s Nest, and Warren County Literacy.

St. Paul’s Lutheran in New Melle held the second annual St. Paul’s Kidz Carnival on July 16, it was a hot day; fortunately, there was shade, a breeze and a misting station to stay cool. The Kidz Carnival was free; the only request was for donations to St. Vincent de Paul Food Pantry.
Michael was born October 2, 2004, in Chesterfield, MO to Michael and Elizabeth Colbert nee Kuchta. Michael attended Benedicite Education in Wentzville and previously attended Liberty Christian Academy where he played basketball and baseball. Michael enjoyed the outdoors, deer hunting and riding 4 wheelers but especially loved his cat Blitzy. Michael had been pursuing his pilot license in order to serve his country after graduation. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
