  TROY, MO, August 8, 2022 – Four charitable organizations were each awarded a $5,000 “Sharing Success” grant by Cuivre River Electric Cooperative (CREC) and CoBank. The recipients of the 2022 grants are Anne’s Anchor, New Melle Sports & Recreation (NMSR), The Sparrow’s Nest, and Warren County Literacy.

  St. Paul’s Lutheran in New Melle held the second annual St. Paul’s Kidz Carnival on July 16, it was a hot day; fortunately, there was shade, a breeze and a misting station to stay cool. The Kidz Carnival was free; the only request was for donations to St. Vincent de Paul Food Pantry.

Robert George Capstick of St. Charles, Missouri, passed away Thursday, October 14, 2021, at the age of 93.

Beloved husband of first wife, the late Alice M. Capstick and second wife, the late Grace H. Capstick; cherished son of the late Buford and Anna Capstick. Devoted father of Ronald J. (Marla) Capstick and Deborah A. (Rick) Faulkner; loving grandfather of Chadwick A. Faulkner; dear brother of Dorothy "Dot" Woodtle, the late Edward "Ed" Capstick, the late Buford "Babe" Capstick, the late Joseph "Joe" Capstick, the late Hubert Buddy" Capstick, and the late Margaret "Sis" Grillion.

Robert proudly served in the United States Army. He was a member of Good Shepherd Church of Christ St Charles, Mo. Robert retired after 44 years as a cement mason. He was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting and fishing. Robert was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

Graveside service, Thursday, October 21, 2021, 10 a.m. at Calvary Cemetery, 5239 W. Florissant Ave., St. Louis, MO.
