Rhodes, Rocky, 67, of Defiance, MO, peacefully died at home surrounded by his loving family on November 29, 2021.

Rocky Rhodes photo.jpgRocky was born in St. Louis, MO to Clifford and Evelyn Rhodes. He grew up in St. Ann, MO, where he attended Ritenour High School. During the summer of 1969, he met the love of his life, Donna. They later married in August of 1975. Rocky worked as a crane operator for nearly 35 years before retiring at 55 to help care for his daughter battling Cystic Fibrosis and her newborn baby.

Rocky is survived by his loving wife of 46 years, Donna (nee: Hallvax); Devoted daughters Julie (Ryan) Sanford and Kelly (Nathan) Wever; Precious granddaughters Molly and Adalyn; Dear brother of Betty (Chuck) Brewer, Darlene (Bill) Cissell, Scott (Kim) Rhodes, and Sheri (Mike) Zessinger. He was a beloved brother-in-law, uncle, cousin, godfather, neighbor, friend and mentor to many.

Rocky was a once-in-a-lifetime kind of man. He was a humble, hardworking, and devoted family man. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, woodworking and vacationing with his family. Rocky was the ultimate handyman -- he could repair or build anything. He would work long days and expect nothing in return. He was most proud of the new homes for each of his daughters, as well as, a beautiful horse stable for his granddaughter. His most recent accomplishment and final project was another new home for one of his daughters, which included a cottage for him and his wife, Donna.
