    • New Melle Country Market Music Festival Sept. 10

      August 09, 2022 New Melle Country Market is hosting the 2nd Annual New Melle Music Festival on September 10, from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Last year the Festival had over 1000 visitors, and a bigger crowd is expected this year. The music will play in two sessions from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. and then 2 to 6 p.m. and will feature Chris Lozano and the Coyote Band.

      St. Paul’s Lutheran in New Melle held the second annual St. Paul’s Kidz Carnival on July 16, it was a hot day; fortunately, there was shade, a breeze and a misting station to stay cool.
      The Kidz Carnival was free; the only request was for donations to St. Vincent de Paul Food Pantry.

Reginald "Reggie" Hemmer Sr. passed away on December 8, 2021, at 97.

He was the beloved husband of the late Dorothy Ann Ida Hemmer nee Grapenthin of Wentzville, Missouri. Reggie proudly served his country in the United States Army during and after World War II. He received numerous medals, including the Bronze Star. He was active in the New Melle VFW Post #5651 and the Wentzville American Legion Post #323. Reggie worked for Maryland Heights Concrete Company for over thirty years and was a member of Cement Masons' Union Local No. 527. He enjoyed coyote and fox hunting, camping, cutting grass, gardening and was an avid St. Louis Cardinals fan in his free time. He loved to dance with his wife, Dorothy and listen to bluegrass music. Reggie will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.
