TROY, MO, August 8, 2022 – Four charitable organizations were each awarded a $5,000 “Sharing Success” grant by Cuivre River Electric Cooperative (CREC) and CoBank. The recipients of the 2022 grants are Anne’s Anchor, New Melle Sports & Recreation (NMSR), The Sparrow’s Nest, and Warren County Literacy.

St. Paul’s Lutheran in New Melle held the second annual St. Paul’s Kidz Carnival on July 16, it was a hot day; fortunately, there was shade, a breeze and a misting station to stay cool. The Kidz Carnival was free; the only request was for donations to St. Vincent de Paul Food Pantry.
Kenneth O. Hemsath passed away in New Haven on January 10, 2022, at the age of 68.
Kenny was a member of Christ Lutheran Church in Augusta, MO for many years. He enjoyed deer hunting and spending time on the farm.
He is survived by his nieces and nephews, Nancy and Todd Overstreet and Tammy and Dave Goebel. He is preceded in death by his father, Waldo Hemsath, mother, Elsie Hemsath nee Mallinckrodt, and sister, Ruth Ann Kleine. Kenny was a great uncle and will be dearly missed by family and friends.
Visitation: Wednesday, January 12, 2022, from 1:00 p.m, to 3:00 p.m. at Christ Lutheran Church, Augusta, Missouri.
Funeral: Wednesday, January 12, 2022, 3:00 p.m. at Christ Lutheran Church, Augusta, MO.
