NMSR is One of Four Awarded "Sharing Success" Grants From CREC and CoBank

TROY, MO, August 8, 2022 – Four charitable organizations were each awarded a $5,000 “Sharing Success” grant by Cuivre River Electric Cooperative (CREC) and CoBank. The recipients of the 2022 grants are Anne’s Anchor, New Melle Sports & Recreation (NMSR), The Sparrow’s Nest, and Warren County Literacy.
Festival in the Ville with Car & Bike Show Sept. 10

St. Paul’s UCC in Marthasville is hosting the Festival in the Ville at Marthasville City Park Pavilion, which coincides with a huge car and bike show on Saturday, September 10, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
New Melle Country Market Music Festival Sept. 10

New Melle Country Market is hosting the 2nd Annual New Melle Music Festival on September 10, from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Last year the Festival had over 1000 visitors, and a bigger crowd is expected this year. The music will play in two sessions from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. and then 2 to 6 p.m. and will feature Chris Lozano and the Coyote Band.

St. Paul’s Lutheran in New Melle held the second annual St. Paul’s Kidz Carnival on July 16, it was a hot day; fortunately, there was shade, a breeze and a misting station to stay cool. The Kidz Carnival was free; the only request was for donations to St. Vincent de Paul Food Pantry.New Melle Chamber of Commerce 2022 Scholarship Winners

The New Melle Chamber of Commerce presented $2000 scholarships to four well-deserving recipients on June 2 at The Quarry Wine Garden. This year's winners were Jacquelyn Oetterer, Luke Bequette, Lindsey Molitor and Kyra Blondin.

Kenneth O. Hemsath passed away in New Haven on January 10, 2022, at the age of 68.
Kenny was a member of Christ Lutheran Church in Augusta, MO for many years. He enjoyed deer hunting and spending time on the farm.
He is survived by his nieces and nephews, Nancy and Todd Overstreet and Tammy and Dave Goebel. He is preceded in death by his father, Waldo Hemsath, mother, Elsie Hemsath nee Mallinckrodt, and sister, Ruth Ann Kleine. Kenny was a great uncle and will be dearly missed by family and friends.
Visitation: Wednesday, January 12, 2022, from 1:00 p.m, to 3:00 p.m. at Christ Lutheran Church, Augusta, Missouri.
Funeral: Wednesday, January 12, 2022, 3:00 p.m. at Christ Lutheran Church, Augusta, MO.
