TROY, MO, August 8, 2022 – Four charitable organizations were each awarded a $5,000 “Sharing Success” grant by Cuivre River Electric Cooperative (CREC) and CoBank. The recipients of the 2022 grants are Anne’s Anchor, New Melle Sports & Recreation (NMSR), The Sparrow’s Nest, and Warren County Literacy.

St. Paul’s Lutheran in New Melle held the second annual St. Paul’s Kidz Carnival on July 16, it was a hot day; fortunately, there was shade, a breeze and a misting station to stay cool. The Kidz Carnival was free; the only request was for donations to St. Vincent de Paul Food Pantry.
Peggy Ann O’Brien of O’Fallon, Missouri passed away at the age of 41 on Tuesday, February 8, 2022.
Peggy was born on March 12, 1980, and was the beloved daughter of Larry and Susan Kohler of Wentzville, Missouri. She is survived by her loving husband, Tim O’Brien and two daughters, Aubrey and Kelsey O’Brien of O’Fallon, Missouri. She is also survived by her stepson Jarrett O’Brien, fiancée Rachel Nifong and grandson Baylor O’Brien; brother Dale Kohler (Christine), sister Jennifer Killian (Josh), and sister Holly Kohler (Clint); mother-in-law Mary O’Brien, brother-in-law Jay Denney; three nieces and one nephew, Kayla Denney, Andrew, Emily & Rachel Killian; and several additional family members and friends.
Visitation: Tuesday, February 15, 2022, 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Pitman Funeral Home, 1545 Wentzville Parkway, Wentzville, MO 63385, with service immediately following at 7 p.m. at the Funeral Home.
