TROY, MO, August 8, 2022 – Four charitable organizations were each awarded a $5,000 “Sharing Success” grant by Cuivre River Electric Cooperative (CREC) and CoBank. The recipients of the 2022 grants are Anne’s Anchor, New Melle Sports & Recreation (NMSR), The Sparrow’s Nest, and Warren County Literacy.

St. Paul’s Lutheran in New Melle held the second annual St. Paul’s Kidz Carnival on July 16, it was a hot day; fortunately, there was shade, a breeze and a misting station to stay cool. The Kidz Carnival was free; the only request was for donations to St. Vincent de Paul Food Pantry.
Carol Marie Laumeier of St. Ann, Missouri, passed away Thursday, May 19, 2022, at the age of 85 years.
Carol was born on June 8, 1936, in Augusta, Missouri. She received her education at Augusta High School. On May 20, 1956, she was united in marriage to Wilbert Laumeier.
Carol worked at Adderton Brokerage Company for 23 years. Her favorite hobbies were trout fishing, camping and crocheting.
She is survived by her son, John Laumeier (Denise) and three daughters, Carolyn Pugh (Lynn), Patricia Collings (Steve), and Carla Byington (Mike); 8 grandchildren; John Laumeier (Jessica), Ashley Titus (James), Jeremy Pugh (Rachel), Justin Pugh (Brandon), Amy Baldwin (Thomas), Andrew Collings (Makayla), Alicia Tweedy (Greg) and Nick Bell (Ashly), and 12 great-grandchildren; Hailey, Connor and Braelyn Laumeier, Sophie Laumeier, Maci Titus, Amelia and Ethan Baldwin, Maverick, Alaina and Penelope Collings and Landon and Cameron Tweedy.
She is preceded in death by her parents Elmer and Eleanor Nadler her husband, Wilbert Laumeier and her brother David Nadler. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends.
