Augusta Harvest Festival September 16 & 17

The 2022 Augusta Harvest Festival is on September 16 & 17. The event kicks off Friday night, with “Swinging in the Vines,”. (This event has sold out.) On Saturday, September 17, the day starts with a 5K run followed by a parade, pie contest and kids' activities, live music by the Texas Giants, and much more. The 2nd Annual Augusta Harvest Festival Scarecrow Contest will be held throughout the town. The contest is free to enter and open to all ages, families, groups or businesses. You must register to enter the contest for judging; prizes are 1st – $250, 2nd – $150 and 3rd – $100. Claim one of the designated spots around town or use your yard if you live within the Augusta town limits. Scarecrow set up will be September 9 – 12, and the winners will be announced on the Saturday at the Festival. The 2022 Harvest Festival Parade will begin at 10 a.m. The entry fee is $25, and three parade trophies and cash prizes will be awarded in the following categories; Town of Augusta, Most Humorous, and Best Transportation. The parade will leave Christ Lutheran Church and head east on Church Rd., then right on Hackman Rd., then left on Lower St., then right on Walnut, then right on Jackson St., then right on Locust St., then back to Christ Lutheran Church.  The Grand Marshall this year is Gertie the goat. Please register by contacting Lisa Hobson at 314-221-2412 or email This email address is being protected from spambots. The Pie Baking Contest will be judged during the Festival. Advance registration is required, and prizes for Best Cream Pie, Best Fruit Pie, Junior Baker and Grand Champion will be awarded. Saturday evening, the Fruit of the Harvest Dinner will take place at Mount Pleasant Estates. This 5-course meal is paired with local wines and crafted by Chef Ryan of Mount Pleasant Estates. The guest speaker for the evening is Catherine Neville. Tickets are $150, and there is a limited supply available. For more information, visit www.augusta-chamber.org.
