DBE Food Drive for St. Vincent de Paul Food Pantry

On Wednesday, April 24, Daniel Boone Elementary (DBE) students, staff and Principal Kevin Armour delivered 2400 items collected by faculty and students during their April Food Drive.
Robert Brossett, the Vice President of the St. Vincent De Paul Food Pantry, greeted students. He briefly explained the distribution process and provided information about the food pantry. The students then received a brief tour and proceeded to unload numerous boxes of canned goods by forming a human chain and passing them down the stairs.

The students and staff then helped pantry members mark UPCs, sort items and place them on the shelves before returning to school. We are so thankful for Daniel Boone Elementary's food drive each year and the opportunity to share with students a little of what our St. Vincent De Paul Food Pantry does to give a helping hand to anyone in need.

To donate to the pantry, you can drop off items at IHM Church, 8 W Hwy D. Mon-Thurs. 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the wooden food donation box to the left as you enter the church. If you need assistance, please call 636-489-0817. Please leave a message and someone will quickly return your call.
