33 & Burning Tree Studio of Augusta, MO is hosting a evening of silent movies, cartoons and newsreels from the 1920's and early 1930's. The Art of Silent Film will be presented Saturday, February 2, from 7-9pm. The studio is at 5624 Main Street in Augusta.
The show, which mostly features the work of the legendary Buster Keaton, is a collaboration between paul of paulosmallband, Hannah Grey and Bryan Haynes. Paul will provide a live musical score, Hannah will sing, add percussion and sound effects, and Bryan is the projectionist. Bryan also designed the poster which was used for two previous showings at the Haynes Gallery in Washington, MO. The studio is owned and operated by Teri Moore and Matt Brennecke, both of Augusta.
A donation of $12 for adults and $6 for children is suggested. Please bring your own popcorn and refreshments.
