Larry Langewisch of Defiance, Missouri, passed away Sunday, June 26, 2022, at the age of 81 years.

He is survived by his wife, Elaine Langewisch of Defiance, MO; three children, Scott Langewisch and wife, Brenda of St. Clair, MO, Dana Hilyard and husband, Patrick of St. Peters, MO, and Lisa Carey and husband, Michael of St. Charles, MO; four grandchildren, Gabrielle Erb of Tulsa, OK, Ben Carey of Colorado Springs, CO, Jessica Carey of St. Charles, and Sammie Hilyard of St. Peters, MO; one great-grandson, Roman Erb; other relatives, and many friends.
Larry Allen Langewisch was born July 13, 1940, in St. Louis; son of the late Lester Langewisch and wife, Erma Fick Langewisch. He grew up in the Ellisville, Missouri area. He served his country in the United States Army from 1958-1961. Larry worked for many years as a pipefitter. In 2002, Larry married Elaine Wilson, and they made their home in Defiance, MO.
Larry was a longtime Boy Scout leader, member of the Planning and Zoning Board in Ellisville, the Athletic Association of Ellisville, VFW of New Melle, MO – life member, and American Legion – life member. Larry enjoyed hunting and fishing and is in the Horseshoe Hall of Fame.
Visitation – July 1 from 10:00 to 11:30 a.m. and Memorial Service – July 1 at 11:30 a.m. Pitman Funeral Home, 1545 Wentzville Parkway, Wentzville, MO.
