Billy “Gene” Sanders, 88, of Scott City, Missouri, died Wednesday, April 19, 2023, at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau, Missouri.

He was born in 1934 in Parma, Missouri, to William and Junuita Walker Sanders. He married Shelby Robinson on May 29, 1954.

Gene loved his classic cars and traveling the country searching for them.

He is survived by his wife, Shelby; a son, Ronald (Diana) Krazer of O’Fallon; a brother, Delbert Sanders of Troy; a sister, Shirley Felker of Maryland Heights and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and three sisters, Betty, Paulette and Katherine.
